Check for error messages in the status window (the first window) to see what is wrong.

Using the command  /load -rs fix  (click yes) often fixes this problem. If not it should show an error message
with more instructions.

This is often caused by shutting down Windows while mIRC is still running, try closing mIRC

Not 'officially' but if you install the foo_winamp_spam (mirror) or foo_vis_shpeck component you can use
the Winamp settings i nbs-irc.

These plugins are a bit outdated but they do work with foobar 1.x.

Close mIRC if it is running, use the 'Uninstall nbs-irc' shortcut placed on the start menu. If you don't have it
you can use uninstall_nbs.exe located in the nbs-irc folder (default: %appdata%\nbs-irc).

Tip: use run (win+r) and enter %appdata%\nbs-irc\uninstall_nbs.exe


If you are using an old version:
